Shivani Rajendra Teli, first steps at Czech Technical University, Prague – Summer 2018
29.4.2026
Arrival in Prague: I arrived in Prague on 29th of April. In the initial days, I tried to settle down with the help of my supervisor Prof. Stanislav Zvanovec and my colleagues. I believe that Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is said to be the most attractive tourist destination because of several wonderful, historical buildings and monuments as well as wonderful bridges.
Currently, I am working as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie ESR (ITN-ETN) on “Visible Light Communications based Internet of Things” @VisionITN #MSCA #H2020. The project offers me a good opportunity to work with experienced professors not only at the Czech Technical University in Prague but also in several universities in Spain and United Kingdom. This collaborative work also brings me a chance to get to know with other members and collaborate with them on several topics of work.
2.5.2026 – 2.6.2026
I signed my contract for ESR# 6 and Ph.D. position and started my work at Czech Technical University in Prague. The initial phase of my study and project was the literature review of the research that is focused on Visible Light Communications (VLC) and the Internet of Things (IoT). I searched for the available articles and research works published and available so far and make a survey about their findings and the schemes proposed.
Next, I move to investigate the drawbacks or limitations/lacking’s in the already proposed studies so as to investigate the same and move on towards making it better in my future work. I try to find out the necessities for VLC based IoT network developments and proceed on the same path. For this, I keep on doing the research about VLC schemes for IoT. While doing the literature survey, I started making the outline of my proposal for the project as well as distribute the tasks to fulfill the project requirements for the forthcoming year.
